Buried deep in there is a comment about a missing paring knife. I was like, Aha! The perfect new job gift. I will replace it. The thing is, I know nothing about kitchen implements. I pinged an expert (hi Cathmo!) and she identified the knife. So far so good.Permalink On twitter.com

Unfortunately, William Sonoma blocks all traffic from Europe (hi, jerks) But eventually with a bit of help from _another_ friend, & having learned they also block European credit cards (whyyyyyy) we found the same knife on amazon. Eventually I text being like… “heyyyyyy did a package arrive maybe nbd” and well... JP does not seem to prioritize presents to the level I would hope.
