This is so true and the whole thread is worth reading. Something current events has made clear to me is how few white people I know have black friends (or tbqh any friends who are PoC). I have long joked that white men don’t have a word for sponsorship because they just call it going to work. White women have long been pushing to get more sponsorship, and it’s so important we pay it forward and build those relationships with other people who need that too.Permalink On twitter.com
