          IMO there is every reason for women starting companies to choose bootstrapping over VC. First - look at the numbers. Odds stacked against.

        Secondly, women are starting companies and failing less than men. Choosing another way - bootstrap. Gain time (no VC pitches!) and freedom.

      Depends what goal is. Anecdotally men want $$$ and women want control over their careers/lives. Data suggests women making rational choices.

    Not that I wouldn't love to see more $bn companies founded by women. But shouldn't discount what women are doing - finding another way.
