    1. Earlier this year there was conference I wanted to go to but it's focus isn't a topic I'm expert in and I was apprehensive about submitting.

    Anyway I had a bit of encouragement and eventually thought "why not" and had a go. Submitted three general talks that weren't in that domain

      Was shocked (but happy) to have one of them accepted. Was even more shocked (and happy) to hear from organizer that all three made top 100.
