The thing about "getting men involved" is sometimes the ones you get are the ones you least want.
-
E.g men who show up to hit on women, especially university women. Men with poor boundaries who just want to be told how awesome they are.
-
One of my friends told me her manager (terrible) ranted at her for their entire 1:1 about why he wasn't invited to a teach diversity course.
-
I think he's more qualified to teach a gas lighting and homogeneity course.
-
Anyway! If you are going to have men thought-leader in diversity+inclusion be careful of who they are. The good ones hesitate and clarify.

I've had this convo w/ number of men I think are GREAT lately. They have specific concerns, are respectful of space, don't want to fuck up.

Guys who say "hell yeah let me educate you on this topic" well I think you should be wary. I am.
