    Stuff happens in Europe. For sure. Terrorism is a risk. But women can mostly get reproductive health care without being murdered, fewer guns

      There is basically no European city that I wouldn't wonder alone at night. Even Paris or brussels. I'll be back in Paris as soon as I can.

        There was a shooting in a park not far from us days before we arrived. Terrifying thing about US violence is how much you don't hear about.

          FWIW attitude to risk when travelling is pretty pragmatic. It's bad for business to kill tourists. Exactly why targeted tourists in Tunisia.
