You know, in 2014 I believed the iOS community was a good and welcoming place.
-
I feel like I have used a lot of emotional energy taking the high road with people who don't deserve it.
-
But the alternative is getting shit for "naming and shaming" which I did anyway because EVERYBODY KNOWS—because they were happy to name me.
-
Anyway nearly a year ago now I decided not to speak at a conf without a proper code of conduct. Somehow I am still dealing with fallout.
-
And let's be clear: I will not attend, speak at, or promote events the people involved are associated with.
-
Standing up for yourself on these things is a fun choice between public ostracism or private isolation.
-
(Unsurprisingly, I am not doing that great today. Please send emotional support.)

Anyway this BS is just one of my hobbies that I look forward to replacing as the world improves. Back to my actual job running an eng team.
