              I worked for a brand, and yeah it builds your resume. I understand why uni kids want it. But to pretend this will help them get it - BS.

            The thing I saw at the conglomerate that made me most sick was hiring uni girls in diversity programs, but not giving them jobs on grad.

          Some of them had never interned anywhere else, and then final rejection - totally crushed, didn't have really any other work experience.

      Anyway my point is: some days I wish pipeline programs were just ineffective. I think they are often actually harmful.

    And students get all this stuff and think it means something and that they will be better off when they graduate for it... But often aren't.

      Unsolicited advice for students: take what you can, but don't think it means shit. Also don't work for for profit companies for free.
