      stubbornella 1) U.K. Election law doesn't work in the 21st century. 2) the referendum was advisory which has caused endless arguments about meaning.

    stubbornella Perhaps another part of it is that leave wasn't a partisan thing. Main parties were between mildly opposed & vehemently (but Ineffectively).
